This Privacy Policy explains how Volume Control handles information when you use the Android application.

Core app data

Your presets, theme, language, listening-reminder settings, recently used presets and last non-zero media level are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. They are used to provide app features and are not uploaded by the core app. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes this local information.

Device volume access

The app reads and changes Android volume levels only when needed to display controls or perform an action you request. It does not record audio, access your microphone or claim to measure decibels. Device makers may link, round or restrict some volume channels.

Advertising

Volume Control is a free, advertising-supported app. Advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device and app information, approximate region derived from network information, ad interactions and diagnostic data to deliver, measure, limit and protect advertising. Partners process this information under their own privacy policies and applicable consent requirements. Advertising data is not used to access the local names or values of your volume presets.

Permissions

The app uses Android’s normal permission to modify audio settings. It does not require location, microphone, contacts, files, Accessibility Service, display-over-other-apps or account permissions for its core features.

Data sharing

Core local preset and settings data is not sold or shared. Advertising and distribution providers may receive the limited categories described above to provide advertising, fraud prevention, app delivery and legal compliance.

Retention and security

Local app data remains until you delete it, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Advertising partners retain information according to their policies and legal obligations. No method of electronic processing is completely secure, but data access is limited to the purposes described here.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses or account profiles from children.

Your choices

You can delete local app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app. Where required, advertising consent controls allow you to make choices about personalized advertising. Android settings may also provide advertising-ID controls.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app, law or service providers. The effective date above identifies the current version.
